A dream and an investment for the future: a home… a cohabitation dream which soon became a nightmare: after booking and beginning to pay an apartment in the apartment building, it began the delays, the apologises, the non-availability of the Cooperative, months passed without knowing anything, house rents ran out and one house moving after the other (Giuseppe made 3 house moving in the last year, Elena lived with her parents, waiting to fulfil their dream).
This is what has happened for more then 1 year and a half, till December 2007, when we discovered we can sign the deed, obviously without seeing our home before the sign, so we have to take the apartment unseen…
We have been lucky, we had our key and we can enter our home… but here began again problem: broken tiles, balcony roof that has water damage, outside works not finished (and at the moment cannot be finished..)… and the discovery that we cannot have the certificate of occupancy because the Cooperative didn’t give some documents to the city hall.
It seems to live in a soap bubble, we have a home but we don’t feel like our own… and the waiting frazzles us inside, the powerlessness sense destroys us and don’t let sleep at night… who will pay us back for this? Noone…
